Our ethos
Pear O’Legs Records has three main goals in supporting musicians: building a community of artists who might otherwise not have been able to release the amazing albums they create, to keep grassroots live music thriving and through that help nurture the independent music scene.
“Brilliant” - Folk Radio UK
“Pear O’Legs Records are lovely, passionate people who put on well curated nights in super interesting venues, and take good care of their artists. Highly recommended.” -
Jack Cheshire, artist and manager at The Harrison, London
Pear O’Legs first began in 2012 as a way for the folk troubadours Apple of my Eye to release their debut album “Devils”. After three critically acclaimed albums they were joined by Jimmy Grayburn and POLR has grown into a collective of international musicians . Centred around their spiritual home at The Harrison by King’s Cross, they have gone on to host live events all around London, Bristol and the whole of the UK.
Pear O’Legs is a collective, community and micro-label supporting musicians in creating incredible music and supporting small venues and music lovers in nurturing it. POLR aims to bring together traditional roots and folk music with contemporary folk and an array of other eclectic styles. The aim being to introduce traditional music to a new audience and introduce great new music to those already listening to trad folk.
